So, it works like this. To tilt the propeller up for
docking you need to push the trailer button (as if you were going to put
the boat on a trailer). To lower the propeller for running, you use the
upper toggle switch and push it toward bow down, which is also propeller
down. There is a gauge on the dashboard, like there was on the four
winns, to tell you how much the unit is up or down.
For the more advanced user, the upper toggle switch it is a trim
switch, that can be safely used at speed, to trim the boat. You can get
better fuel economy if you trim the boat properly according to your
conditions and load.
